Hotel Al Kabir

Firstly, the fabulous reception I received from Samir on arrival (late at night) - and, along with Kenza and Abdullah, throughout my stay. I was initially given a lovely big room on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking the street - which was fine at first as I love people-watching - but I asked if I could move to the quieter pool side after 3 days. This was granted immediately - whereupon I spent the remaining 5 days in a smaller but 👌 room on the 4th floor, where my balcony overlooked the pool far below. There are 2 lifts serving all 5 floors, which were a blessing for me - having had a hip replacement only 8 weeks prior! All the staff are friendly and very professional. I was particularly impressed with the Housekeeping team, who cleaned my room and changed the bedding every single day. One very personable chambermaid, Zahine, was very creative with the top sheet - folding it into different fan shapes & even decorating it with bougainvillaea petals a couple of times. I'd seen photos of hotel beds strewn with rose petals before - but never in my long life have I experienced it! The decent-size pool was the principal reason I'd chosen Hotel Al Kabir, as I love to swim and knew it would be excellent physio for my new hip. I swam every day and the pool was always clean and the surrounding area tidy and with comfortable seating. The only negatives would be that the sun is only on the pool for about 3 hours in the afternoon (5 hours on the entire courtyard) - and there's only one sunbed, which though it supported my weight, is in definite need of either repairing or replacing! But the area is quite large and was never busy during my stay (late September), despite a temperature of between 29° & 32°, so it's a relaxing and quiet place to hang out. I'd read quite a few bad reviews (along with the positive ones) of this hotel, but not enough to deter me from booking.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch stay where every need is anticipated and met with a smile.

This is my go to hotel, it's chill, clean the staff are professional and I just like it here. I go back again and again. So that says a lot. The garden and pool is so relaxing. Rooms are cool and different themes. I recommend this hotel for a lot of things.

This is my go to place in morroco it is an amazing hotel, professional, clean, the pool and seating area is amazing, I've stayed here a few times and I go back again and again, it's good for nightlife, but also if you want a place to chill and work. They have improved, the pillows on the bed was amazing so good after a long day of travel, the internet is now amazing super fast. I highly recommend this hotel one of the best in town.
